Purchasing a new software solution can be very intimidating. Here are some pointers to relieve your stress:

  1. Make sure your software is in compliance with all of the Government Agency Traceability requirements.
  2. Know if your specific industry requirements are compatible with the software you are looking to purchase.
  3. Make sure you are aware of the specific requirements for your particular industry.

Edible Software makes sure that your company is in line with all requirements.  Our software has garnered success for companies within the Seafood, Meat and Poultry, Specialty Food, Grocery, Produce, Food Hub and Floral industries.

Edible Software makes it a priority to ensure its clients avoid the chaos of a recall with its traceability feature. We want to make sure that our software is working for the clients and not against them. Some of the regulations compatible with Edible Software are: HACCP, NOAA, PTI, and FDA'

The HACCP regulations require that domestic seafood-processing firms conduct an analysis to identify hazards that are reasonably likely to occur and to develop and implement a plan to control them. In addition, the HACCP regulations require seafood-processing firms to implement a written sanitation operating procedure to, among other things, avoid spreading contamination from one work surface to another, and control pests. Imported seafood, which constitutes more than one-half of all the seafood consumed in the United States must meet these requirements as well (FDA Regulations).

The NOAA oversees fisheries management in the United States. Under authority in the 1946 Agricultural Marketing Act, the NOAA Seafood Inspection Program provides inspection services for fish, shellfish, and fishery products to the industry. The NOAA Seafood Inspection Program is often referred to as the U.S. Department of Commerce Seafood Inspection Program and uses marks and documents bearing the USDC moniker (NOAA).

Produce Regulations:

Edible Software offers total Produce Traceability Initiative capabilities that help you meet the new mandates, along with those changes in consumer preferences, industry practices and rising volumes of imports that increasingly complicate the US food chain (Resource for PTI).

FDA’s Bioterrorism Act of 2002

Our programs have helped make traceability far more widely available than ever it’s not simply for the largest food distributors anymore. Edible Software meets and exceeds government regulations for easy tracing, and enables inventory tracking to and from each originating vendor and end user, thus ensuring your compliance with the FDA’s Bioterrorism Act of 2002 (Resource for FDA's Bioterrorism Act of 2002).

Edible Software complies with all Government Agency Traceability requirements, including the FDA’s Bioterrorism Act. It is therefore, able to track an inventory item from the originating vendor to all of the end-user customers and back again, even through a manufacturing process. Edible Software represents crystal-clear solution engineering and coding responsibility.
